Jesus is to us what a shepherd is to the sheep. As Jesus teaches us his ways, we must gradually wean from milk and start taking solid food.

TeaserLong

Shepherds preparing spiritual food for the sheep must recognize that their fundamental responsibility is to cater to the needs of all the sheep rather than the individual tastes of some. The meals must be properly prepared so that the sheep may grow in good health and not be poisoned with contaminated food. Although shepherds have their responsibilities, the sheep are not free from responsibility either. As sheep, we must recognize that the consumption of milk is not our ultimate goal in life. Rather, it is to seek to grow up spiritually and learn to take solid food, and discern what is set before us.
