Why would you cut what you want to grow, or strip what you want to flourish? Find out what spiritual pruning is all about.

TeaserLong

The Lord, like a gardener, foresees our potential to become objects of grace beauty, and ultimately, perfection. Therefore He "prunes" us to accomplish it. The Lord's pruning may be through "self-pruning". If we fail to use God-given tools to prune ourselves, pruning may come in other ways--namely by God's own hand. God may use a sudden turn of events in our lives--sickness, loss of job, etc…to remind us that we are not on the right track. Sometimes God also prunes us through people around us, but we often overlook this type of "peer-pruning". The effects of "peer-pruning", however, can be great. It awakened David to his grave sin of adultery and murder.
