A Chinese New Year Eve dinner will be held for the students away from home!! Come and Join us.

A woman from the CEEH office called me yesterday to ask if our group would be interested in participating in a volunteer event from 9am-5pm on Sunday, Feb 27th.  The CEEH site in Jamaica Plain has been sponsored by Channel 5 TV station to be in an Extreme Makeover program, where they will film the complete renovation of the facility's common area.  She did not have all of the details, but the volunteer activity will be very hands-on, requiring some rolling up sleeves and gettin' down and dirty.

Vuthy will be back at the Boston Prayer House for his TTP Internship.  And he will be leading the inaugural Sabbath Service in the newly purchased Natick Church!

Ok, here's the round-up.  Although the majority of people are available next Sunday, some folks preferred this weekend.  Since there's a lot of painting to do, I suggest we split into 2 teams.  Folks who are available this weekend could be one team and the rest of us will do next weekend.  Ok, be sure to bring a change of clothes this Sabbath!

Sis. Tsan-Tsan's mother, Sis. Shih, suffers from arthritis pain. Please pray for God's mercy so that she can move about comfortably.

Hello All,
To save the church $600 the contractors would charge us to paint the new
bathroom, we need some folks to help paint this long weekend, before the
new sinks and toilets are installed on Tues.  We would need to put on 1
coat of primer and 2 coats of paint, so the job should take us 3 days.
Let me know if you'd be available to help out on Saturday, Sunday, or
Monday:

Saturday after church: tape and 1 coat of primer
Sunday:  1 coat of paint
Monday (Labor Day) 2nd coat of paint.

Hope this note finds you in good cheer.  Below is the schedule for our Thanksgiving Day fellowship and dinner at church on Thursday, November 24th.  Please do come early and invite your friends to this wonderful celebration of family, friends, and of course feasting!  Feel free to bring a dish or help out with cooking, but just be sure to bring your joyful self!  Please kindly RSVP with the number of guests by Saturday, 11/19.

 

Also, please note that this upcoming Saturday, we will be assembling invitation packages to send out to friends for the Thanksgiving Day Fellowship and our first Gospel Tea Fellowship on December 10th.  So please plan on staying after Sabbath service to help out if you're available.

 

One final note, I was wondering how many folks would be interested in participating in a community service event to prepare and serve dinner at the Center to End Elderly Homelessness again this holiday season.  We had a great time last year, and I'd love to do it again if we have enough volunteers.  Please kindly let me know if you'd be interested by the end of the week so I can get a headcount.
